Quality and environment

An approach based on protection of the environment is evident directly from the PPI business plan. We are fully aware our products contain a variety of chemical substances which might possess some hazard to the environment. Therefore, we carry out thorough tests of all input materials and replace those with hazardous properties by the use of other components which are compliant with admissible standards. When developing new products, we take into account all environmental aspects and put forward to our customers optimum solutions without any hazardous impact to the environment. The priorities while developing our production processes are given to designs based on the use of solutions with as little waste as possible. Production waste recycling approach belongs among the most usually adopted environmentally-friendly solutions used and our development of new products is based on the appropriate use of this approach.

Directive

We fully abide by all significant European and worldwide applicable regulations and directives on environmental protection as well as by occupational standards governing the work with respect to type of environment and materials. The directives governing the area of our business activity include the following: WEEE 2002/96/EC, RoHS 2002/95/EC and ELV 2000/53/EC and all of our products are compliant with these directives. Customers can obtain upon request a Test report with measurement values of chemicals content in a particular product, issued by an independent certified laboratory. Also available upon request is an   Environmental declaration (RoHS), certifying that our products are free of any hazardous materials and are compliant with all the relevant EU directives. Available documentation also includes Health & Safety Data Sheets to all of our products.

Certificates

Our Company is the holder of ISO 9001:2000 the quality assurance certificate and we are now using our best endeavours to obtain also the Certificate ISO 14001 in the environmental policy area. In addition to the above we also aspire in tuning our processes in a manner ensuring that these are conformable with the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 standard for the supplier in the automotive industry.

We are SONY´s green partner and hold the Certificate of Green Partner.
