These days, Smart Cards are widely used all around the world, especially within the Payment and Identity Cards sectors. PVC Cards require a reliable and long-lasting connection of the chip module to the rest of the card.
PPI Adhesive Products have developed a range of heat-activated tapes specially designed for Smart Card solutions. These products are noted for their excellent bonding properties and can be used for Dual or Non-contacted Cards, Contacted Cards, SIM Cards, ID cards, Transport Cards, etc.

Bonding of Dual Interface chip module solutions
In Dual Interface Cards, the process of mechanically embedding the chip module and connecting the antenna are performed in a single step using electrically conductive heat-sealing transfer adhesive products
Utilising electrically conductive heat-activated films for bonding the chip module, instead of the paste or glue, reduces the time required for manufacturing and thus increases efficiency.
These electrically conductive tapes have a stable conductivity, colourless, and are suitable for bonding PVC and ABS materials.
Bonding of contact card chip module solutions
For Contact Cards the chip is bonded to the cavity of the cards. Our Heat-sealing film is suitable for the chip module embedding processes for plastic contact cards commonly made from PVC, ABS & PC materials.
