Based on a polyester film, which has a layer of exposed pressure sensitive rubber based adhesive on each side. The central area between the adhesive edges has been laminated with metallised polyester and this ensures the anti-static properties. The transparency of the tape allows visual inspection of components or devices.

Applications:
anti-static cover tape for packaging of surface mount devices (ESD protection)
LM-382B requires only pressure to form temporary bonds with smooth peel off to PVC, polycarbonate and polystyrene moulded carrier reels. Tearing of the cover tape during removal from carrier reel is eliminated due to the special laminate construction.
