Release films

Valentia Industries Ltd (a company within the PPI group) has developed a highly sophisticated coating system that ensures the production of release films with the lowest possible migration.

This outstanding feature coupled with the excellent mechanical and chemical properties of the base films make PPI release films the ideal product for industrial applications that demand interliners, covering and protection films, and substrates.

PPI Release Liners are of the best qualities:

• no migration - we have eliminated the danger of transfer of silicone from the release liner to the material
• the very close tolerance in the coating weight – available on one or both sides of the film
• the excellent mechanical strength and chemical resistance of the base films
• very long shelf life and high stability in extreme weather conditions
• long-term temperature resistance up to 130°C and short-term temperature resistance up to 200°C

Our release liners have been tested and approved by a wide variety of industries worldwide and have led to a continuing increase in the range and diversity of applications for which they are used.

PPI 0501 Standard siliconised polyester film. Available thicknesses in the range of 0.012mm – 0.125mm. It is widely used as a release liner for an extensive range of adhesives, waxes, and rubber materials, in a broad spectrum of industry applications.

SP-914 Siliconised polyester film with more solvent and abrasive-resistant coating. Available thicknesses in the range of 0.023mm – 0.100mm. It is used as a carrier liner for direct coating of solvent-based adhesives, or as an interliner for silicone adhesive-based products during coating and die-cutting applications.

SP-916 Fluoro siliconised polyester film designed to release silicone adhesives. Available thicknesses in the range of 0.023mm – 0.100mm. SP-916 has proved itself to be the market leader in terms of offering the easiest/lowest release force for silicone-based adhesives while possessing superior long-term stability in comparison to all other liners.

PPI 0701 Siliconised polypropylene, available in a thickness of 0.050mm. A tough, conformable interliner ideally suited to precision, high-impact, die-cutting applications. Specifically recommend for die-cutting of metal foil products – MOPP.

PPI 0601 and PPI 0602  Siliconised polyester films based upon a transparent polyester film that has been coated with a highly stable, very consistent silicone release coating. The silicone coating has been specifically formulated to have the maximum anchorage to the polyester film, excellent resistance to abrasion / “rub off” and offer stable long-term release properties to a very wide range of adhesive types. Ideal interliners for a wide range of acrylic and rubber-based adhesive systems. PPI 0602 is a siliconised white opaque polyester.
