Is a multi-purpose tape which is more suitable for joining two or more moulds together. The thinness and conformability of the tape offers seamless joining while the adhesive offers good adhesion to the mould release agents.

Applications:
To simplify the production of larger composite parts (boats, aircrafts, etc), the moulds tend to come in sections which are bolted together to produce the final mould shape. Where gaps exist between the mould sections, SP-459 is used to provide a gap cover and seamless surface finish.
SP-459 is also used during the painting process where its superior chemical resistance to solvents and its residue free removability make it an ideal fine line masking tape.
