Aluminium foil tapes

Aluminum Foil Tape is the go-to foil tape for numerous applications across a broad range of industries. Aluminium possesses excellent chemical and heat resistance. It is largely unaffected by exposure to many acids and bases (alkali) and maintains its mechanical resilience up to temperatures of 500°C. In terms of shielding effectiveness (S.E.) aluminium is not as effective as copper. This is due to its lower level of conductivity. The tough nature of aluminium's oxide layer prevents it from being soldered. Due to this characteristics, the aluminum foil tapes are used most frequently as a shielding applications for motors, cables, cabinets, antennae and components.

Applications: 
To mask and protect certain aircraft parts during paint stripping operations specially formulated aluminium based adhesive tape must be used. PPI 903-6 is successfully used for this purpose.

self-adhesive conducting tape based on embossed aluminium

PPI 9020 has a wide range of applications in the suppression of domestic appliances and electronic equipment to eliminate electrical interference. In the production of television sets PPI 9020 can be applied direct to the graphite coating of the tube. The embossing of the tape is then flattened by the application of pressure to the tape and the earth lead can then be crimped to the tape.
