Solar panels tapes
PPI 1040W is based on a polyester film which has been coated with a highly transparent, UV resistant pure acrylic adhesive layer. This adhesive combines a good balance of tack and adhesion with excellent shear strength. Because of these properties this product has found specific use as a fixing tape in the manufacture of solar panels. In pplication, the tape is applied to the base of the silicon cell where it holds the solar cell modules in position and prevents their displacement during the EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) film heat lamination stage of manufacture.
LM-924D is a self-adhesive laminate tape based on a combination of Icosolar 0711 (PVF-0.037mm/PETP- 0.075mm/PVF-0.037mm) with DBT-065.
LM-1002 is a special laminate tape based on a combination tin clad copper foil with white polyester film (PPI L-133 0.050mm). The copper foil is completely wrapped with the polyester insulation with an average overlap of 2 mm. Where an earth contact is required, it is possible to solder through the polyester insulating layer. This heat class B (up to 130oC) laminate tape can be supplied in a multitude of film and copper foil thicknesses and width constructions. This wide range of suitable substrates coupled with PPI’s production expertise means that a very wide range of customer
tailored laminate tapes can be readily produced with excellent quality.
LM-960 is based on tinned copper foil (0.300mm) laminated on one side with PPI 1040 (0.050mm) polyester insulation tape.
