SPOTLIGHT ON - Tony Fisher - A challenge for every year!

A successful company is made of determined and motivated people. We are proud that Tony Fisher, UK Sales Manager, a man with these qualities, is part of the PPI Adhesive Products team.

For the last 15 years or so Tony has tried to complete a challenge every year. These challenges have involved in the past – 10K and ½ marathon running events, a tandem skydive, and paragliding (and he is frightened of heights!).

“This year I completed The Three Peaks challenge in early July. The highest mountain in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scar Fell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) in less than 24 hours including the traveling time between the three mountains, completing the challenge in 23 hours and 34 minutes.”

A few days ago, Tony completed another challenge - The Yorkshire Three Peaks. It is over 24 miles long and you climb the three highest mountains in Yorkshire (Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough) around a circular route. You have 12 hours to complete this and he managed to complete this in 8 hours 54 mins.

“The idea of the yearly challenge gives me something to focus on year to year. I like the freedom of running and walking to keep my mind and body fit and I can just go and do it when it suits me. I enjoy the training I need to do to complete the challenges and the freedom and fresh air I get.”
